The outdoor climbing class is an easy way to get started with outdoor bouldering. The class is also suitable for complete beginners and anyone who has not climbed outdoors before. You only need your own climbing shoes. We will head out together from Wasa Up.
During the class, you will learn safe outdoor climbing, route reading, and practice technique and mental skills. The goal is that after the class, you will be able to climb outdoor boulders independently, safely, and continue progressing as a climber. The class is organised in cooperation with High Sport Ry, so it is also a great opportunity to get to know the local climbing club!
The recurring themes in every class are safety, mental skills, and route reading. The weekly changing themes for 2026 follow the plan below, but you can join at any time. Previous topics will also be reviewed during every session. The regular area is marked in parentheses, but it may change depending on the weather.
- Access and respecting the environment, finding routes, and reading a topo.
- Fear of heights: how to progress at your own pace.
- Sit starts and footwork outdoors.
